My son at the McWane Science Center in Birmingham, AL.
I grew up outside of New York City and in Western Massachusetts. But, when I met my wife, I was also introduced to Birmingham. It’s a city with creative energy, great living, amazing food and an entrepreneurial spirit. Despite having established a career in New York, I keep hearing about Birmingham. And it’s something my family and I want to be a part of.
I’ve worked on a some recognizable clients creating work that I hope people remember. I’ve made a lot of clients very happy. I would hope you can tour some of my favorite work at fixadvertisingnow.com
We can’t just make TV and print (although I do love to make TV and print). We have to make things for brands that people want to act on or react to. This may mean establishing reactive social feeds, inventing new technologies or pairing with “makers” in maker culture (like Chef’s Cut Real Jerky and I did with ThinkModo, the YouTube Channel).
Every day, there are new ways that people interact with technology. As we approach existing and new clients, let’s explore how we can best tell their story - be it with apps, film, radio, experiential, AR, VR or good ol’ regular R.
The world is changing quickly. Disruptive brands are everywhere, rethinking every category. Luckie is a nimble enough agency with a comparably low overhead to many agencies. Start-ups and new businesses need brand strategy, tonal development and leadership. I would love to help Luckie go after some big pieces of existing business, and every contact I’ve made would be added to the pile. But I also believe that the agency of tomorrow is going to grow with the businesses of tomorrow. I’ve had success helping start businesses from the bottom, like Chef’s Cut Real Jerky, ONE Bar, Romio (an app), The Drop Wine, Thirstie (an app) and more. Together, we could tap into the entrepreneurial spirit of Birmingham and help continue to enhance the city’s reputation as an incubator.
